Quality Control

We evaluate our translators after every single project that they do. This ongoing evaluation helps us follow their development and control the quality of the work supplied.

All the information that we gather during the Quality Control process is stored in our Resource Matching Tool and helps us choose the translator who’s best suited to your needs.

Your Opinion And Our Strict Criteria

We evaluate each translator on the basis of your feedback and according to our own criteria:

• Your opinion: are you satisfied with his/her work? Are there areas for improvement? Do you like his/her way of writing and style? Etc.
• Quality of the translation:

• Is it error-free in terms of language (spelling, grammar, syntax etc.)?
• Does the translator have a particular editorial style?

• Layout: does the translator manage specific formats well (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)? Or does he/she have problems with these formats? Etc.
• Deadline: has the translator met deadlines? If not, has he/she warned us and given us enough time for us to assign another translator to the project? Etc.
• Comments and questions: has he/she made relevant comments about the translation? Did he/she ask too many questions? Not enough? Etc.

We also value the quality of human contact, whether it’s with you or our team. The translator will also be assessed on this aspect.

Ratings

On the basis of these criteria, we can rate a translator, and so monitor his/her development and quality of work.

We do not use these ratings to reject translators, as the criteria for appearing in our translator database are already very strict. This ongoing monitoring helps us guide translators towards languages or subject areas which are more appropriate for them for example.
